Jarosław Piotr Jendrzejewski, MD PhD Habilitatus

Jarosław Piotr Jendrzejewski, MD PhD, graduated from the Secondary School
No. 1 in Gdańsk. After studying at the Medical Academy of Gdańsk (now Medical
University of Gdańsk) and receiving his medical degree, he completed a
specialist training in internal medicine at the Department of Hypertension and
Diabetology.
From 2008 to 2014, he was based in the United States and worked in the
Department of Molecular Virology, Immunology and Medical Genetics, College
of Medicine, Ohio State University, where he was part of Prof. Albert de la
Chapelle's team that investigated the genetic determinants of thyroid cancer.
During this period he was first employed as a postdoctoral researcher, then as a
research assistant professor leading his own research team. Since returning to
Poland in 2014, he has been associated with the Department of Endocrinology
and Internal Diseases at the Medical University of Gdańsk, where he is an
assistant professor.
Jarosław Piotr Jendrzejewski has been awarded two scientific prizes granted by
the Rector of the Medical University of Gdańsk and one granted by the Rector of
the Medical University of Warsaw. He is the author of numerous scientific
papers and a lecturer at local training courses in endocrinology and at national
and international scientific conferences.
Dr Jendrzejewski is employed at the Thyroid Cancer Treatment Center at the
University Clinical Center in Gdańsk. He serves as academic lecturer by teaching
endocrinology to the Faculty of Medicine (English Division) students at the
Medical University of Gdańsk. Dr Jendrzejewski primarily specialises in thyroid,
parathyroid, adrenal and pituitary diseases.
