Dr. hab. n. med. Jarosław Piotr Jendrzejewski graduated from the 1st General Secondary School in Gdańsk. After completing his medical studies at the Medical University of Gdańsk and earning his medical degree, he completed a residency in internal medicine at the Clinic of Hypertension and Diabetology. From 2008 to 2014, he worked in the United States at the Department of Molecular Virology, Immunology and Medical Genetics, College of Medicine, Ohio State University, where he researched the genetic determinants of thyroid cancer as part of Professor Albert de la Chapelle’s team. He initially worked as a postdoctoral researcher and later as a Research Assistant Professor, leading his own research team. Since returning to Poland in 2014, he has been affiliated with the Department of Endocrinology and Internal Diseases at the Medical University of Gdańsk. He is the recipient of two scientific awards from the Rector of GUMed and the author of several dozen scientific publications. Professionally, he is affiliated with the Thyroid Cancer Treatment Center at UCK in Gdańsk. In his clinical practice, he focuses on diseases of the thyroid, parathyroid glands, adrenal glands, and pituitary gland.
