Psychiatrist

Prof. dr hab. n. med. Paweł Zagożdżon specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of psychosomatic disorders in adults. He is a professor of medicine at the Medical University of Gdańsk and also practices as a physician at the Mental Health Clinic of the “Przychodnia Morena” outpatient center. Previously, he worked at the Hospital for Nervous and Mentally Ill Patients in Starogard Gdański, in the Psychogeriatric Ward and the Addiction Treatment Ward, as well as at the “Kardiotel” Cardiology Clinic in Sopot. His academic and research work focuses primarily on the psychosocial determinants of mental health. In his clinical practice, he helps patients with mental and physical health conditions related to anxiety and depressive disorders, addictions, sleep disorders, Alzheimer’s disease, post-stroke disorders, epilepsy-related disorders, coexisting heart disease (psychocardiology), psychotic disorders, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder.
