When to schedule a follow-up appointment

Not every follow-up needs to happen "just in case", but it is also not worth waiting too long if symptoms return or treatment is not working.

When to schedule a follow-up appointment

Not every follow-up needs to happen "just in case", but it is also not worth waiting too long if symptoms return or treatment is not working.

After starting treatment

A follow-up may be needed after a new medicine has been introduced, to assess how well it works and how well it is tolerated.

In rehabilitation, a follow-up is used to assess progress and adjust the therapy plan.

When symptoms change

If symptoms clearly worsen, new complaints appear or there is no improvement, do not put off contact until the "standard follow-up date".
