Frequently asked questions

When is it worth seeing a neurologist?
It is worth seeing a neurologist if you experience recurring headaches, dizziness, problems with memory or concentration, numbness and tingling in the limbs, sleep disturbances, fainting, hand tremors, or worsening vision of unclear cause. No referral is required — at ProfessMed, you can book an appointment directly.
What does a neurology appointment at ProfessMed look like?
The first neurology appointment includes a detailed discussion of your symptoms and medical history, a neurological examination (assessment of reflexes, muscle strength, coordination, and sensation), and—if needed—a referral for additional tests (EEG, EMG, MRI). The appointment lasts as long as your condition requires.
Do I need a referral to see a neurologist at ProfessMed?
No. ProfessMed is a private specialist medical facility and does not require a referral for a neurology consultation. You can schedule an appointment through ZnanyLekarz or by phone at +48 58 380 24 25.
Neurologist and neurosurgeon — what is the difference?
A neurologist diagnoses and treats diseases of the nervous system using conservative methods such as pharmacotherapy and rehabilitation. A neurosurgeon specializes in surgical treatment, including spinal disc disease, brain tumors, and injuries. At ProfessMed, both neurologists and neurosurgeons are available, making it possible to provide comprehensive diagnostics and select the optimal treatment path.
How much does a neurological consultation cost at ProfessMed?
Neurological consultation, prices ranging from 350 zł to 250 zł, depending on the specialist. The current price list is available on the medical facility’s website in the Price List section.
